Though regarding the little...difference of opinions I've observed further down on your page about screenshots and etcetera, is that the people who run DA consider in game screen shots invalid for submissions as a deviation regardless of the artistic vaue, because as your adversary mentioned, they contain copy-righted textures and the like. A DA staff member junked 13 or so artistic screen shots I had taken from Unreal Tournament 2004 for that reason.

But ironically enough, said screenshots are perfectly acecptable if it is your desktop background and you submit the deviation as a desktop screenshot; regardless of the fact that someone could just crop out the icons and use the underlying picture for whatever anyways.

But essentially we have to follow the rules of our Beloved Overlord Masters that have forged such a great and large community as the one we are a very very very very very small part of.

We do it for uploading. If I made a map and took screenshots of it, would you go away?

when will people stop posting up screenshots of themselves playing CS or whatever other game they like onto DA?

DA is for art, not a simple process of pushing f5 in-game to capture a screenshot of someone elses hard work - i.e the game :/

A nice little animation although I'd maybe take off the top black area and add a nice black 20 pixel wide border to the image. It can be done for the .gif image, you will just need to remove it from every frame of the animation. Shouldn't be too hard
